Out of Order Party

Updated: Monday, April 7 2014, 01:43 PM EDT
On Friday evening, Baltimore's contemporary arts crowd flocked to Maryland Art Place's annual 'Out of Order' party, held at their new gallery location on West Saratoga Street. The walls were hung salon-style with submissions, all of which were available for purchase through a silent auction system. The buzzing crowd included MAP board members Allison Parker Abromitis and Morgan Gilligan, with his wife, Jennifer; Karen Bokram, Julie Cavnor, Claud Vandernotte, Ray Mitchener, Brian Comes, Lisa Schatz, Tom Lopez, John Marsh, Michelle Geczy, Sean Scheidt, Stacy Swann and Aida Said. The gallery space got a bit crowded with partiers and patrons, so after two hours, a few of us headed a few blocks east to the B&O Brasserie for a nibble, and then up to The Other Corner charcuterie bar in Hampden. The late-night crowd in this intimate lounge included Scooter Holt, and a contigent of off-duty servers from nearby Petit Louis (including PL stalwarts Patrick and Marco) laughing it up at the far end of the bar.
