TRAVEL-DISRUPTING SNOW POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY

A coastal storm will ride to our east, throwing moisture into building cold air overhead Wednesday. This means rain and snow mix developing for the entire area Tuesday night and for a very busy travel day on Wednesday. By the time it tapers late Wednesday, we could see up to three inches of snow here in the city, and maybe even up to four inches or so in places like Carroll County.

Willow and Rye

Updated: Friday, April 19 2013, 11:16 AM EDT

Fells Point was the place to be last night, as I stepped into Willow, which was the site of a charity happy hour sponsored by the Old Line Society. Justin Batoff greeted me as I came in, and the place packed up pretty quickly. Sipping on a white sangria, I chatted with Mary Francioli and Kelly Sheridan, both of whom were on hand from The Family Tree, the beneficiary of the night's donations. Also, in the crowd I caught up with Lisa Schatz (whose Cupcake dress boutique is next door) and Jeremy Batoff. Later, few of us strolled down the block to Rye (where, happily, old-school Pixies were on the sound system) to sample some cocktails. I ran into Ashley Thompson of M&T Bank and Chris Janian of H&S Properties, who were celebrating Chris' recent engagement. The nice weather had brought out the crowds, who were out barhopping all over Fells Point's sidewalks on a pleasant spring evening.
