Big Name Acts Star at this Year's Maryland State Fair

Updated: Friday, August 23 2013, 02:29 PM EDT

The music is always a big draw at the annual Maryland State Fair. This year the acts coming to the stage at the Timonium Fair Grounds have fairgoers buzzing with excitement.

The fair kicks off with a performance by Carly Rae Jepsen, who shot to fame last year with her single 'Call Me Maybe,' performing with UK band 'The Wanted' on Sunday, August 25.

Multi-platinum Grammy-nominated group Fall Out Boy takes the stage on Thursday, August 29. The band has been touring together since announcing their comeback from a hiatus. In February they released a new album, "Save Rock and Roll," and it is the band's second number one album. They say they couldn’t be happier with their tour – and their fans.

Canadian rock band 'Three Days Grace' will perform at the state fair on Labor Day weekend. The band has been touring since the release of their album Transit of Venus in 2012. It topped the billboard top hard rock albums chart. Fans can rock out with the band at the fairgrounds on Sunday, September 1.
