SEEDS OF CHANGE | 'WE Day' brings students together for service

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - On April 11, thousands of students will join in a celebration of service.

"WE Day" will take over the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore to mark a year of action that transformed communities and changed lives.

FOX45's Joy Lambert spoke to a few elementary school students making a difference.

It was found 23 years ago, and, since then, schools across the country have adopted the WE Service into their classroom curriculum - including 48 classes in Maryland.

They were planting the seeds of change and cultivating a brighter future.

WE Day is an all-day event that will host up to 2,000 students and educators from across the state, and will feature speakers and performers like Montel Williams, Martin Luther King III, Millie Davis, Lizzie Greene and Shawn Hooke.
