Storm of 1933 Shaped Ocean City Landscape

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- A hurricane that hit Maryland permanently reshaped the Coastline back in 1933.

When the storm hit Ocean City, the winds and water were so strong they created a river inland.

That break is now known as the Ocean City Inlet. It's where Ocean City is separated from Assateague Island.

This story originally aired on FOX45 in 2003.
