Baltimore Church Burglarized - Joy Lepola
Updated: Monday, November 19 2012, 09:25 AM EST
Just days before Christmas, a burglar made off with thousands of dollars from a church in Northeast Baltimore.
On the morning of Dec. 16, police say someone stole nearly $6,000 in cash and checks from a safe at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Harford Road.
Detectives believe the burglar used a ladder to reach an adjacent roof and climb through an unlocked window of the church.
The church's safe was set to "day lock" mode, which allows access to anyone.
No arrests had been made and police have no suspects at this time.
