95 Year Old Woman Instrumental In Helping Police Indict Several Suspects Accused Of Scamming Elderly Citizens
Updated: Tuesday, November 27 2012, 11:55 AM EST
The Baltimore City Grand Jury indicted Sierra McCoy, James Pasko, and Vaneka Powers Friday, charging them for allegedly operating a financial scam that targeted elderly citizens during the summer of 2012.
The scheme allegedly involved calling senior citizens to report fraudulent unpaid bills, sending collectors to their homes, and then robbing them, sometimes violently. There were seven victims, all of them at least 70 years old.
95 year old Mary Hudson was instrumental in helping police locate the accused suspects of scamming, and in some cases beating her and 6 other elderly victims in Baltimore City during the summer.
The defendants are scheduled for arraignment on December 20, 2012.
