Anne Arundel County police say a would-be robber was fatally shot by the
owner of a Dunkin' Donuts and Quest gas station in Laurel.
The shooting happened about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at the shop on Laurel Fort Meade Road.
Police say a 29-year-old man entered the store and announced a robbery, implying that he had a weapon.
But
during a struggle with the owner, police say the man was shot. He was
taken to Prince George's Hospital Center, where he later died.
No charges have been filed.
