Essex Man Chases Intruder, Helps Police Make Arrest - Myranda Stephens
Updated: Monday, November 19 2012, 09:25 AM EST
Police have arrested the suspect who broke into an Essex house and was chased out by the homeowner.
Police say 40-year-old Troy Trevon Thames is charged in a sex offense and a string of break-ins, the most recent on Monday.
In that incident, Thames broke into a house in the 1000 block of Punjab Drive and confronted a woman.
The woman began to scream for her boyfriend, Jay Devries, who jumped out of the shower and chased the intruder out of the house.
Devries was able to get a partial license plate number from the intruder's car, which police located and traced back to Thames.
Detectives have also linked Thames to a burglary and sex offense that occurred Sept. 19; and to a burglary on Nov. 4.
Thames is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
