There was a lot to see at the Baltimore Grand Prix today, but it was one special car that caught the eye of many.

The Grand Prix unveiled a replica of an IndyCar made out of cake. While it looks like a functioning car, it is made entirely of cake.

The unique design was made by Charm City Cakes in Baltimore in honor of Sam Schmidt, the owner of Izod IndyCar Series.

Geof Manthorne of Charm City Cakes said, "It was a totally surprise for Sam, he had no idea that this was all planned behind his back, and it was a great surprise for him. You know, that's why we do what we do, we get to see everybody smile."

Schmidt became quadriplegic in 2001 after a testing crash at Walt Disney World Speedway, and he went on to build a world renowned race team.
