Pay it Forward: Jeanne Cobb

Updated: Tuesday, November 12 2013, 07:03 PM EST

In today's tough economy FOX45 and First Mariner Bank are reaching out to help your neighbors who Pay It Forward with $250.

The first to be recognized with the award is Jeanne Cobb, whose work makes a difference at the Baltimore International Academy.

Students here speak four different languages and Jeanne plays an important role in its international baccalaureate program.

Her hard work does not go unnoticed, the school's principal John Enkiri noted.

"She works with the kids, she goes into classes for observation, she mentors students who are misbehaving, she's like the grandmother that everybody wants to have," Enkiri said.

The Pay it Forward award took Jeanne by surprise.

"I feel so humbled," Jeanne said. "Thank you! I can't believe it, thank you!"
