The shooting victim from Perry Hall High School is now at home recovering from his wounds.
Daniel
Borowy was released from the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center
and is now at home in Perry Hall with his parents and siblings.
Daniel
was shot August 27, on the first day of school. He was in the cafeteria
eating lunch when he was shot by one bullet in the back. He has
undergone several surgeries. His Mom, Rosemary Borowy says, "I know the
first night he was here the chaplain prayed over him and asked God to
be with him on this journey, I think he has. He's given him a certain
sense of calm in all of this . Its got to be scary. He really doesn't
understand, its frightening".
Daniels dad, Milton Borowy says his
son still needs to have more surgery but he says he is grateful for all
the prayers from everyone in the community. He says he will still have a
lot of therapy as well. His Dad says, "So the walking is fine, it's
just he has been laid up for two weeks and he's just getting his
strength back."
The accused gunman, Robert Gladden, is at Spring
Grove Hospital in Catonsville undergoing a psychological evaluation. He
will have another bail review later this week.
