Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 09:17 PM EDT

Kentucky Derby winner Orb arrived at Pimlico Race Course on Monday, to begin preparing for Preakness.

The Derby winning horse ran four furlongs at Belmont before boarding his van this morning for the long drive south.

“I thought it was nothing short of magnificent,” trainer Shug McGaughey said of this morning's warm up.

Orb will occupy Stall 40 in the Preakness Stakes Barn, for the next week prior to Saturday’s 138th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course
