Ray Rice Pleads Not Guilty to Third Degree Aggravated Assault

Updated: Sunday, May 4 2014, 05:38 PM EDT

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice on Thursday pleaded not guilty to the charge of third degree aggravated assault. The plea offered by the state is probation, with no jail time and anger management classes.

The Ravens running back was indicted by a grand jury for allegedly striking his then-fiance, "rendering her unconscious" at an Atlantic County casino. The two are now married.

TMZ obtained a video, which Rice's attorney later said was authentic but not complete, of Rice lifting his unresponsive fiance out of an elevator and laying her on the floor. CLICK HERE to see the video.

The prosecutor said that additional video of the incident exists. Though she wouldn't elaborate on what the video contained she did say she was confident of getting a conviction if the case went to trial.
