Updated: Tuesday, September 2 2014, 04:13 PM EDT

Police have identified the 77-year-old driver of the SUV that drove into an Ellicott City Dunkin Donuts on Monday. Police were called to the scene, in the 8400 block of Baltimore National Pike, at 5:36 p.m. Monday.

The driver of the SUV, Patricia Elizabeth Voelkel, 77, of Ellicott City, and two adult passengers in the vehicle, were uninjured.  Two pedestrians, Surya Nimmala, 36, and Siva Datti, 44, both of Ellicott City, were transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Nimmala is currently listed in critical condition; Datti was released Tuesday morning.

Police believe the vehicle had pulled into a parking space and came to a stop before suddenly lurching over a curb and into the building.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances.
