Maryland Lineman Dunn: From Walk-On to Blind Side

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- When he started his football career at Maryland as a freshman walk-on, Michael Dunn was admittedly fat and out of shape.
His goal at the time was to get playing time as a senior.
A steady diet, hours in the weight room and hard work on the field enabled Dunn to move up the depth chart.
Dunn received a scholarship last year before earning a job as Maryland's starting right guard. Now a sophomore, Dunn holds the most important position on the offensive line: left tackle.
Terps coach Randy Edsall says of Dunn: "He's just a great young man."
With Dunn leading the way, Maryland rushed for 285 yards against James Madison last weekend in a 52-7 victory.
The Terrapins face South Florida on the road this Saturday.
