When firefighters arrived on the scene of the deck collapse, in the unit block of Clybourne Court at 6:18 p.m. Monday evening, they found that the second-story apartment balcony had fallen approximately eight feet. Four were transported to hospitals with serious injuries; the other three were said to have minor injuries.

According to police, there were approximately 100-150 people in the area when they arrived on scene. The building will be inspected by a county building inspector on Tuesday. The police will not conduct a follow-up investigation because there was no evidence of criminal activity.
