Ray Rice Attorney Leaves to Meet with Client After Atlantic City Arrest

An attorney for Ray Rice told FOX45 he was leaving Monday morning to meet with his client following his arrest in Atlantic City over the weekend. Attorney Andrew Alperstein said he was leaving to meet with Rice to "familiarize himself" with the case.
The case will not appear in court Monday since it is a federal holiday.
Ravens running back Rice was arrested over the weekend in Atlantic City after an alleged physical altercation with his fiance outside a Boardwalk casino.Rice was charged and then released. A woman identified as his fiance, Janay Palmer, was also arrested, charged and released.
The two are facing simple assault charges after striking each other with their hands, according to the police report. Security at the Revel Casino, where the incident occurred, reports that it has the incident on videotape.
The Ravens released a statement Sunday night: "We are aware of the Friday night situation with Ray Rice and his fiance. We have spoken with Ray, and know that they returned home together after being detained."
