A ship from World War II, the SS John Brown, was docked in Fells Point over the July 4th holiday weekend. The historical ship attracted thousands of visitors while docked in the Inner Harbor over the Independence Day weekend.
The SS John Brown is one of only two liberty ships from World War II that is still operational.
"They carried two thirds of all the cargo that left the United States during the war, said Captain Brian Hope, a SS John Brown volunteer.
The ship is now run by a non-profit that accepts donations for tours. The ship costs about $750,000 a year to maintain.
The ship was built in Baltimore and is usually docked on Clinton Street in Canton.
