Consumer Electronics Show Underway in Las Vegas

Updated: Wednesday, January 8 2014, 10:51 PM EST
One of the biggest tech events of the year is underway in Las Vegas previewing some of the gadgets getting the biggest buzz.

The Consumer Electronics Show combines major tech companies with hundreds of start-ups and the result is plenty of surprises. Auto technology is always one of the biggest stand-out trends, and this year it's all about the virtual cockpit.

The new Audi 2015 TT features a full color display behind the steering wheel, putting all control at your fingertips.

"Basically you are using a smart phone or tablet type of experience in your dash," said Harry Kroll, Pioneer Audio.

But some bigger screens are also getting attention. Samsung and LG unveiled new 104-inch, ultra Hi-def curved televisions with four times more pixels.

When it comes to wearable technology, Mimo's "Smart Onesie" for babies might take the cake.

The convention runs through Friday and more than 20,000 new products will be unveiled. Consumer Electronics Show Underway in Las Vegas
