1 dead, another wounded in separate shootings within the hour Thursday morning
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Baltimore City Police responded to back-to-back shootings early Thursday morning that left one man dead and another in treatment at Shock Trauma within an hour.
Shortly before 4 a.m. police were called to the Morrell Park area of Southwest Baltimore for a report of a shooting. When police arrived at the crime scene on Washington Blvd. by Spence St. they located a 19-year-old male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Shock Trauma for treatment.
Around 4:35 a.m. Northeast District officers were notified of a shooting, reportedly involving a victim who was shot multiple times in the Rosemont East neighborhood. Police located an 18-year-old male victim on Fairdel Ave. and Glenmore Ace. The victim was pronounced deceased. He's been identified as 18-year-old Maurice Ely.
Police say, "A potential witness reports hearing several gunshots and then seeing a dark colored pick-up truck fleeing the area. Currently there is no suspect information."
