18 year-old Carjacking Suspect Arrested

BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- On December 19, 2017, a 20 year-old man was parked in his car, a 2010 Acura, in the parking lot of the Northwood Shopping Center.

At that time, he was approached by an unknown suspect who forced him out of his vehicle at gunpoint. The suspect got into the victim’s vehicle and sped away.

Upon driving out of the parking lot, an officer who was working the Northeast District Robbery detail saw the vehicle driving without its headlights on. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, however, the driver attempted to elude the officer.

A short time later, the driver crashed the vehicle, got out and attempted to run.

The officer quickly apprehended and arrested 18 year-old Tumani Corbett of the 1700 block of Darley Avenue. Recovered from the vehicle was a .38 caliber revolver.

Corbett was transported to Central Booking where he has been charged with Armed Car Jacking.

Tumani Corbett is currently waiting to see a court commissioner.
