2 arrested in Middle River shooting
MIDDLE RIVER, Md. (WBFF) - A Middle River woman and Parkville man were charged in the shooting near Middle River's Eastern Boulevard last month.
The shooting was originally reported at the Carroll Island Shopping Center. Baltimore County police, however, said Tuesday it happened just before 9 p.m. in an alley between Day Coach Circle and Eastern Boulevard, according to a news release.
Alicia Charline Venzke, 26, of nearby Covered Wagon Road, and Michael George Collett, 27, of Morvan Road in Parkville, have been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, armed robbery and using a firearm in the commission of a violent crime.
Police believe Venzkle, who knows the victim, set him up to be robbed and later shot him in the leg when he tried to flee.
Venzke and Collett fled to her home after the robbery attempt and were arrested the next day. Police did not announce the arrest until Tuesday.
