BALT. CO. CRIME: 2 carjacking attempts in Parkville area, pistol-whipping in Woodlawn

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) - Armed robberies or attempted robberies were reported over the weekend in Middle River and the Towson/Parkville area. Another robbery, in Woodlawn, included the victim being pistol-whipped.

Two carjacking attempts were also reported in the Parkville/Towson area.

On Sept. 30, three armed people tried to steal someone's vehicle, at 6:14 p.m. in the Northbrooke Township development, between Hillsway Avenue and Loch Raven Boulevard in the Parkville/Towson area, according to police reports.

One of the suspects had a gun and one had a knife, on Astro Court. The suspects drove the vehicle into another vehicle before fleeing on foot, said police.

The next day, at 2:30 a.m., two suspects also tried to steal a car on Loch Raven Boulevard near Putty Hill Avenue.

One of the suspects was armed. They stole a key and a credit card, and tried to take his vehicle.

They fled after the vehicle would not start, said police.

Two armed robberies were reported in Middle River and Essex on Oct. 1.

At 2:05 a.m., an armed suspect approached someone on Martin Boulevard near Middle River Road, at the Martin Plaza Shopping Center, said police.

The suspect stole the victim's cell phone and fled.

At 12:37 p.m., someone was withdrawing cash from the bank when he was robbed by an armed suspect, on Eastern Boulevard at Woodward Drive in Essex. The suspect fled on foot.

A pistol-whipping and robbery was also reported Sept. 30 in Woodlawn.

At 7:53 p.m., two people robbed two victims on Windsor Mill Road at Essex Road, pistol-whipped the victim and took the victim's property.
