BALT. CO. CRIME | Slashing in Catonsville, armed assault in Essex
BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) - Several violent crimes were reported around Baltimore County in recent days, including a slashing in the Catonsville area, the robbery of a delivery man in Windsor Mill, and an armed attack and robbery in Essex.
At 1:40 a.m. on June 11, someone was involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown suspect in Catonsville, on Frederick Road near Paradise Avenue, according to Baltimore County police reports.
"The suspect slashed the right arm of the victim with a sharp instrument, then left," according to the police report. "The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries."
In Essex on June 12, three people beat and robbed someone with a handgun at 4:50 p.m. in the area of the Middlesex Shopping Center on Eastern Boulevard.
The suspects took a wallet, cash and a cell phone, then fled in a vehicle. Two of the three were arrested, said police.
On June 11, two people stole pizza and wings from a food delivery worker in Windsor Mill.
The incident happened at about 8:21 p.m. on Burford Court, near North Rolling Road and Stony Barr Road.
At 1:30 p.m. on June 12, two people assaulted someone in Middle River, on Cedar Drive near Martin Boulevard, and stole his cell phone, cigarettes and the lid to his grill.
At 1:55 p.m. on June 12, two armed people entered Motel 6 in the Woodlawn area, on Whitehead Court near Security Boulevard and Woodlawn Drive.
"The suspects jumped over the counter and stated they wanted everything," according to police reports. "The suspects stole cash and other items," then fled in a Kia Optima.
At 3:20 a.m. on June 12, three people robbed a 7-Eleven on Pleasant Plains Road near Doxbury Road in Towson.
They took cigars, cigarettes and the cashier's cell phone.
In Cockeysville on June 11, someone robbed another person at gunpoint at 7 a.m. in the area of Cranbrook Road and Beehive Place.
The suspect pointed a gun at the victim's stomach and demanded cash. The victim gave the suspect a wallet, cell phone and iPod. The suspect then ran behind an apartment complex.
