Baltimore County Public Schools closing for summer 3 days earlier than planned

TOWSON, Md. (WBFF) -- Good news for Baltimore County public school students and teachers: The school year will end on June 13, three days earlier than originally planned.

Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) released the following schedule on Thursday:

  • Friday, June 9 – All schools will provide a full day of classes. It will be the last day of classes for Preschool-3 and PreK students.
  • Monday, June 12 – Elementary and middle schools will close three hours early for students. High schools will provide a full day of classes.
  • Tuesday, June 13 – Final day of classes for all students. Elementary and middle schools will close three hours early for students. High schools will provide a full day of classes.


According to BCPS, the adjustment became possible due to planned but unused emergency closing time.

Public schools in Baltimore County were previously scheduled to close for summer on Friday, June 16.
