Baltimore Police seek 3 men in rape of woman in cemetery
BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Baltimore City Police are searching for three suspects who detectives say robbed and sexually assaulted a woman who was visiting the grave of her mother-in-law.
Police say the incident occurred on the evening of April 30 at the Voshell Memorial Gardens on Cardiff Avenue in Southeast Baltimore.
Police Detective Donny Moses says the victim was approached by the three men when "she tried to get back to her car, the three men ran her down, one had a gun. They assaulted her,, they robbed her of her cellphone and money and ultimately raped her."
The victim's husband, who visited the cemetery Wednesday, said his wife is "taking it day by day. It's just traumatic because as a young girl she was raped before so it's kind of opened up wounds that were pushed down."
The husband, who did not want to be identified, added "You can't come to a safe place and talk to these loved ones and have to worry about being harmed or hurt."
Police have released a sketch of one of the suspects. He is described as a white male in his 50's, 5'7", weighs around 200 pounds and has pale skin.
He was wearing dark Docker pants and sandals with long, grey hair in a ponytail and had a long, grey beard that is braided in the middle.
The second suspect is a white male, 5'9", 165-pounds in his late 20's. He has short dark brown hair, wore a gauge in his left ear and was wearing tan shorts and a dark polo shirt.
The third suspect is described as a bi-racial male (African-American/Caucasian mixed) in his 30's, 5'9" and weighs around 250 pounds. He was wearing flip flops, tan shorts and a polo shirt with a college logo on the front.
