'Bet on Baltimore' program reaches out to young entrepreneurs
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Baltimore teens had the chance to pitch their innovative business ideas in hopes of striking gold.
Bet on Baltimore program's inaugural class had the opportunity Thursday to allow the interns from Green Street Academy to pitch enterprises to a panel of venture capitalists and mentors in the Baltimore Community.
Nine students from Green Street Academy spent eight weeks creating enterprises designed to solve problems facing Baltimore communities. Throughout the program at City Garage in Port Covington, Bet on Baltimore program interns were introduced to the discipline of design thinking, skills of making, tools of entrepreneurship, and benefits of networking.
