BALTIMORE (WBFF) - A former veterinarian at a Canton clinic is charged with viciously attacking dogs during three separate incidents, according to Baltimore police reports.

Gregory Burbelo, 57, of Overbrook Road, allegedly attacked a dog with his hands at Boston Street Animal Hospital, and later used a clipboard to attack another dog on Nov. 3, said police.

On Oct. 28, he also attacked a third dog during the course of its care at the animal hospital. Investigators also believe he threatened several employees if they reported the attacks.

The Baltimore Police animal abuse unit was notified of the abuse complaints on Nov. 20.

Burbelo was arrested on Dec. 12 and is charged with several counts of animal cruelty, aggravated animal cruelty and witness intimidation-related charges.
