Community gathers to remember MTA bus driver killed in crash
BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Funeral services for Ebonee Baker are scheduled for Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the Greater Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in East Baltimore.
But many gathered Wednesday night to remember Baker.
Hundreds of people lined up outside for a viewing at the Calvin Scruggs Funeral Home on East Preston Street. It was an outpouring of support for Baker's family.
"This line has been like this since 2 o'clock today," said Darryl Spence, Baker's father, "you know my daughter was loved."
Baker was the MTA bus driver killed November 1 when investigators say a school bus collided with Baker's bus, killing the wife and mother of 7 children.
"I feel saddened, heart broken," said Toni Miller, Baker's co-worker, "Ebonee was a friend, we lost a sister."
