COUNTY CRIME | Columbia pool robbed Thursday afternoon
BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Recent crimes in Howard and Baltimore counties include an employee at a Columbia pool robbed at knifepoint in the middle of the day, an armed robbery at a Parkville/Towson liquor store, a bank robbery in Rosedale and an armed robbery by four people in Essex.
At 3:45 p.m. Thursday, a man who was working at the front door of Dasher Green Pool, on Columbia's Cradlerock Way, reported someone with his face partly covered approached him, displayed a knife and demanded cash, according to Howard County police reports.
The victim complied and the suspect fled. No one was injured and the investigation is ongoing.
The suspect is described only as a black male in his late teens wearing a black shirt.
At 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, two people robbed Liquor Mart, on Taylor Avenue at Goucher Boulevard in the Parkville/Towson area, at gunpoint.
One suspect displayed a gun and stole money from the registers, while the other suspect acted as a lookout; both then fled.
At 5 p.m. on Thursday, Essex Bank, on Race Road in Rosedale, was robbed.
Someone entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. After getting cash, the suspect left.
At 5:55 p.m., four armed suspects robbed two juveniles on Ashbridge Drive in Essex.
The victims were robbed of cash, cell phones and shoes.
