BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Five people were killed Easter weekend in Baltimore City, according to police as of 9 p.m. Sunday.

City police say the latest victim was a pregnant woman and her unborn child, who were found outside a hospital around 5:40 p.m. Sunday. Police indicated Sunday night via email detectives believe she was shot in the 4800 block of Claybury Avenue in Northeast Baltimore.

The weekend started with the murder of Trayvon Chesley, 22, the son of slain city police officer Troy Chesley, who was killed after work in 2007.

"We're used to dealing with death, but when you try to solve a case that's near-and-dear to heart, it makes it particularly a little bit more," BPD Det. Donny Moses said Saturday. "He was out there with so-called friends who basically left him to die."

A man was killed Saturday night on Bridgeview Road, just outside Cherry Hill Elementary/Middle School in what police describe as a "robbery gone bad." Ninety minutes later, two more people were shot outside a West Baltimore School, including a 90-year-old woman who was hit by a ricochet. She and a 56-year-old man are each expected to survive. Police say the double shooting started from "a verbal dispute on the block."

There were two other Easter Sunday homicides. First, at 12:30 a.m., police say a 28-year-old man was shot and killed in the 1400 block of Caroline Street. Around 12:40 p.m., a man was shot and killed in South Baltimore in the 4100 block of 6th St.

At least five other non-fatal shootings occurred over the weekend, as of 9 p.m.

So far, no arrests have been made in any of the homicides. Police urge people with information about any of the violence to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
