Family of woman fatally shot by police add to lawsuit
BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- The attorney representing the son of Korryn Gaines, who was fatally shot by Baltimore County Police has added new claims to the civil lawsuit against the department.
The lawyer, representing 5-year-old Kodi Gaines accuses police of civil rights violations and wrongful injury claims.
Kodi was also injured when Korryn was shot and killed by SWAT officers during a standoff.
Police had initially come to her Randallastown home to serve warrants on Gaines and her fiancee when they say she refused to come out and armed herself.
The shooting was ruled justified by the Baltimore County State's Attorney.
The claims were added to the original lawsuit filed last year by the Gaines' family.
The case is set to go before a judge in February.
