FIVE ARRESTED| East Baltimore Shootout
BALTIMORE (WBFF)-- Baltimore City Police say they've made five arrests in a shootout and pursuit that ended at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
On April 3, 2018, at approximately 2:30pm, City Police say an officer observed two groups of individuals shooting at each other in the 2100 block of Aiken Street. Additional police officers were called to the area to assist.
A short time later, officers observed an SUV leaving the area at a high rate of speed. The officers began to follow the vehicle as part of their investigation. The vehicle stopped at the entrance to Johns Hopkins Hospital. There were three individuals, later identified as Darius Foster, Kenneth Black and Shamya Beckett, inside the SUV. Kenneth Black was suffering from a gunshot wound to his hand.
During the course of their investigation, detectives from the Baltimore Police Citywide Shooting Unit obtained arrest warrants for five individuals. They are charged with attempted murder, assault, handgun and drug charges.
Detectives arrested 26 year-old Devin O'Cain, 22 year-old Darius Foster, 28 year-old Charles Alston, 24 year-old Kenneth Black and 18 year-old Shamya Beckett.
The five are being processed at Baltimore'S Central Booking and Intake Facility.
