Frigid temps and light snow to threaten Thursday commute

BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Cold stretch continues through end of work week with some small snow threats!

A quick moving storm swings through the area tonight and sends us the threat for some light snow. Most spots will end up with a quick dusting but with cold road temperatures slick spots are likely overnight. The snow showers should exit before your Thursday morning drive.

Local officials warned that light snow showers and sub-freezing road temperatures could "make for a slippery commute."

Thursday turns mostly sunny and remains blustery with highs in the chilly low 40s.

Another weak system is expected to arrive Friday, sending us an additional risk of a snow showers and flurries with highs in the upper 30s.

We'll notice a gradual warming trend over the weekend with highs in the low 40s under mostly sunny skies Saturday. By Sunday, temperatures recover into the seasonable mid 40s.

Monday is a mild day with highs nearing 50, Tuesday also looks mild with highs in the low 40s with increasing clouds and a slim chance for showers. Plan on a better chance for some showers by Midweek with highs in the mid 40s.
