High-speed Maglev project moves forward
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) - There was another step forward today in the effort to bring the high-speed Maglev train to Maryland.
It's billed as the world's fastest train and could shorten the trip between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. to 15 minutes, and D.C. to New York to one hour.
Leaders of the Baltimore-Washington rapid rail system announced a partnership that assures the use of union labor on the project.
There is some concern about the impact of the Maglev.
Today the Anne Arundel County school board issued a statement saying it opposes any aspect of Maglev that could negatively impact school operations.
