LOCKDOWN | Elementary students kept in Perry Hall schools for hours

PERRY HALL, Md. (WBFF) - Residents in Perry Hall dealt with a chaotic scene throughout Monday, as Belair Road stayed shut down and several local schools locked down for many hours after a Baltimore County police officer was suddenly killed.

Parents weren't allowed to pick up students until shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Long lines were seen wrapping around Perry Hall Elementary as people tried to get students.

Just before 9:30 p.m., County Councilman David Marks reported Baltimore County Public Schools superintendent Verletta White said: "Still getting kids home right now. Will take direction from police about tomorrow morning."
