Water main break causes 2 Baltimore County schools to close on Thursday
LUTHERVILLE, Md. (WBFF) -- A private school and a Montessori school in Baltimore County without water are closed on Thursday due to a 16-inch water main in Baltimore County that is also impacting more than 20 homes.
DPW officials say the 16-inch water main break broke out Wednesday afternoon in the area of Falls Road and Seminary Avenue. Schools in the area were affected by the water main.
Water was shut off and crews began repairs in the evening.
There is no estimated time of when the main will be fixed and when water will be restored. As of Wednesday night, 24 homes were impacted as well as three large services and two hydrants in the area.
St. Paul's School and Greenspring Montessori School announced that on Thursday, March 2 the schools will be closed.
