Masked suspect darted from alley, shot teen going inside home with his family & got away
BALTIMORE (WBFF) – Detectives say that a Baltimore teen and his family were going into their home when a masked suspect suddenly emerged from an alley and, without warning, opened fired.
Police say the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. Thursday on Greenmount Ave. by E. Biddle St. and once on scene, officers found the 18-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the groin area. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
Investigators believe that after the suspect opened fire, unprovoked, striking the victim, the shooter then retreated back into the alley before getting away.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2221 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
