Shooting reported at home near Middle River elementary school Monday
MIDDLE RIVER, Md. (WBFF) - Baltimore County police are looking for the suspect who shot a man in Middle River Monday.
Officers were called to the 500 block of Compass Road East around 5:30 p.m.
When officers arrived to a home, they found a person shot. The victim was taken to the hospital.
Detectives spent hours canvassing in and around the home, as well as talking with neighbors.
Police have not yet said what led up to the shooting.
But investigators said they believe the victim was targeted and knows the suspect.
Police said Monday they did not believe there is a danger to the community.
“This was a targeted crime so I would say no,” said Sgt. Andrea Bylen. “I think there are particular circumstances that led up to it, as far as we know right now.”
Those who know the victim did not want to comment on camera, but told FOX45 the victim lives at the home where this shooting happened.
Police have not yet identified the victim or provided a condition update.
