2,800 gallons of heating oil spills into the Jones Falls after tanker overturns on NB 83
BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Baltimore emergency officials say 2,800 gallons of heating oil spilled into the Jones Falls Tuesday morning after a tanker truck overturned on I-83.
Officials say the Carroll Fuel truck overturned just before 8:30 a.m. on northbound 83 near Cold Spring Lane. The truck was reportedly carrying 3,000 gallons of heating oil, officials said. The oil has been contained to the Jones Falls and no injuries have been reported, officials said.
The Baltimore City Fire Department, the Maryland Department of the Environment, the Mayor’s Office of Emergency Management and Carroll Fuel Oil Company provided assistance on the scene.
