Pedestrian struck and killed on I-695 in Baltimore County 

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) -- On Saturday morning, a pedestrian was struck and killed on the Outer Loop of I-695 at Jones Falls Expressway Exit 23 in Baltimore County.

At approximately 10:31 a.m. the Golden Ring Barrack received calls for a Motor Vehicle Collision involving a struck pedestrian on the Outer Loop of I-695.

Trooper Shawn Brown #5330 was first to arrive on scene, and administered first aid to the victim prior to Baltimore County Fire/EMS arriving.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene by Baltimore County EMS.

The victim is not being identified until next of kin is notified.

Preliminary Investigation revealed that the victim's vehicle was parked on the right shoulder of the Outer Loop of I-695 prior to the Jones Falls Expressway to change a tire.

While outside of his vehicle, the jack rolled into lane 5 and the victim attempted to retrieve it and was struck in lane 5 by a blue Chevrolet Malibu.

The driver of the Chevrolet immediately stopped at the scene.

As a result of the impact the victim landed in lane 1 on I-695. Lanes 1 and 2 were closed on the O/L for the investigation.

Maryland State Police Reconstructionist was contacted to respond.

Maryland State Highway Administration CHART assisted with lane closures.
