Fire in East Baltimore leaves homeowners displaced

BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) -- Baltimore firefighters have the heat of the day and heat generated by a burning home to contend with in East Baltimore.

It happened along North Dexter.

Neighbors say the house was having repairs made to it after homeowners moved out because of crime in the area.

The families who live next door have been displaced.

At one point, firefighters emerged from one of the homes with a kitten.

One firefighter did everything he could to help the kitten breath administering oxygen at one point.

No word on a cause, but more than one homeowner eluded to foul play.
