Teen steals vehicle, crashes into officer's car during police pursuit in Baltimore County
PIKESVILLE, Md. (WBFF) -- On Friday night, Baltimore County Police officers arrested an 18-year-old suspect who stole a vehicle in Baltimore City and led police on a pursuit in Pikseville.
According to Baltimore County Police, an officer fired his weapon multiple times at the suspect during the police pursuit on Reisterstown Road.
Officials say at 10:30 p.m., officers located a grey 2014 Honda Accord in the area of Countess Drive and Village Queen Drive, which was reported stolen from Baltimore City on January 6.
Police noticed a suspect inside a car on Village Queen Drive, driving towards Reisterstown Road.
Officials say during the pursuit, an officer was struck by the stolen vehicle while the suspect continued to elude police.
Another officer exited his car, withdrew his service weapon, and fired several times at the stolen car as the suspect drove towards him as well.
A few minutes later, police found the Honda on Naylors Lane and Old Court Road, but the suspect was not inside of the car.
Police searched the area and located the suspect on Greenwood Road near Old Court Road.
The suspect was placed under arrest and did not suffer any injuries.
The officer who fired his weapon was not injured as well.
However, the officer inside of the struck car has minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
