Police release surveillance video in murder of Dollar General store manager

BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Police have released surveillance video in relation to a man fatally shot during a robbery at the Edmondson Village Dollar General Tuesday night.

Police say a citizen flagged down police shortly after 10 p.m. and reported a robbery and shooting at the Dollar General store on Edmondson Avenue near Swann Avenue. When officers entered the store, they found a 54-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Police later identified the victim as Deric Ford Sr., the store's manager.

Ford was taken to Shock Trauma where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A reward of $27,000 is being offered for information regarding the individual in the video.
