Police search for woman who stabbed dog near Patterson Park in southeast Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Police are searching for a woman they say stabbed a dog near Patterson Park in southeast Baltimore on December 27.

The 2-year-old dog, named Clawd, was stabbed while he was out walking on East Baltimore Street near N. Glover Street at around 6:45 a.m., his owner told police. The owner told police Clawd was on a retractable leash and looked away for a minute. The owner then heard Clawd yelp and saw a woman stabbing the dog, unprovoked.

The suspect is described as a white female in her 60’s, approximately 5 feet 2 inches, with a medium build. She was last seen wearing a tan overcoat and knit hat, with a scarf wrapped around her head. Police say she also had a small white “scraggly” haired dog.

Police say Clawd is expected to recover
