BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Baltimore Police say 27-year-old Shawntia Smith and her 6-year-old daughter Jamie Howard are no longer missing.

Police released their photos Thursday morning and said they were last seen on April 16 at around 2 p.m. near the intersection of North Avenue and Greenmount Avenue.

Family members said Smith is homeless.

Later Thursday afternoon police announced they had determined that the daughter was with family members.

"Homeless Outreach officers contacted the father to see if he had received any further updates on his daughter or her mother," police wrote in an updated release. "It was at this time that the father was informed that his daughter had been dropped off by the mother in the 2700 block of Reese Street with family members."

Jamie was safe and unharmed and was reunited with her father.

The child's mother, Shawntia, is no longer considered missing, police said.
