Pregnant woman killed on Easter Sunday was 20 weeks along in her pregnancy
BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Baltimore City Police say the pregnant woman killed on Easter Sunday in northeast Baltimore was 20 weeks along in her pregnancy.
Neighbors say she was expecting a girl.
The Maryland Medical examiner will decide if the fetus was 'viable' and if so, it could be considered another homicide.
Baltimore City Police say 28 year-old Shahidah Barnes was found inside a vehicle in a hospital parking lot with gunshot wounds to her body on Sunday evening.
She succumbed to her injuries.
Her husband, 34-year-old Deron Deandre Barnes, was considered the prime suspect. He was reportedly suicidal and was found dead on Route 40 in Catonsville that evening.
An autopsy will determine the exact cause of his death.
