TOWSON CHANGE | New "Circle East" project in the works at Towson Circle
TOWSON, Md. (WBFF) - The eastern corner of Joppa Road at Towson Circle saw Trader Joe's and Barnes & Noble move out in recent months.
Now there's a new development underway.
A rendering released by BCT Architects shows what a trendy "Circle East" development could look like.
The plan is to convert the space to 375 residential units, as well as 83,000 square feet of retail and 850 "structured parking spaces," according to BCT.
The internal area is set to be converted into a "pedestrian friendly mixed-use project with links to community and expansion of pedestrian corridor east of existing circle."
The goal is to add a "multi-story mixed-use building to accommodate an additional 45,000 square feet of retail and 320 residential units," according to the developer.
Barnes & Noble closed its Towson location this spring. Trader Joe's relocated earlier this year to The Shops at Kenilworth plaza, off of Kenilworth Drive, which is also being upgraded.
