Victim airlifted to Shock Trauma after vehicle goes over guard rail in Harford County
EDGEWODD, Md. (WBFF) -- On Friday, a female victim was airlifted to Shock Trauma after her vehicle went over the guard rail in Edgewood, Maryland, according to Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.
At 5:40 p.m., fire crews and medics arrived at NB I-95 near mile marker 75.7, between exits 74 and 77, and noticed the incident was on the slow shoulder and that the vehicle on the other side of the guard rail.
It was reported that the vehicle rolled over and landed wheels down.
A Maryland State Police Aviation Command medevac was requested and Medic 895 stabilized, then transported the patient to the JMVFC’s helipad located in Joppa.
The seriously injured adult female was airlifted to Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
Troopers are investigating the incident.
The two right lanes of I-95 NB were temporarily blocked by Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) officials, to allow a safe working area for responders.
